How often should I change my oil?

I have a Ford Fusion 2007 and I can't find info online, so I just need to know how often to change my oil and filter.How often should I change my oil?not having read the owners manual, i think ford recommends changing the oil every 7500 miles for normal driving conditions, and every 5000 miles for severe driving conditions.



normal driving means freeway use, or other types of driving where the engine gets to operating temperature for at least 30 minutes to allow for the burning off of contaminants in the oil.



severe driving means stop and go city driving, and short trips.



that said, i would still change the oil every 3 thousand miles if you do mostly stop and go city driving, and short trips. if you do longer drives on a regular basis, then you can bump that to 5000 miles.How often should I change my oil?Petrol models are 12,500 miles / 12 months

If you want this car for more then ten years, Whenever the oil is dark brown, not black, why? Are you driving miles at a red light ? Stop sign ?

So actually people are really doing more then 3,000 miles on the engine not the tires rolling down the road.
