he also bought a high mile oil filter that doesnt need to be changed for twice the miles of a regluar filter. his change oil light has popped up twice and i know i did it right no leaks. he brought me the filter and oil and i just changed it. why did this light come on and how do i get rid of it. i know how to do an oil change but have only done it on older cars 92 and below.Two days ago i changed my brothers oil. he used this 75oooo mile special oil for vehicals with high miles.?sounds as if the oil pressure is not right or maybe the oil pressure switch is faulty take the cheaper option first with replacing the switch .
