And where is a good place to get one?How do you change a 2004 Chevy Cavilier oil filter?the oil filter on that model being a 2.2 eco tech engine is on the top of the motor. pull the black plastic cover off and look on the drivers side front of the engine. you will see a black plastic cap with a hex head about 1 1/16'. use a socket that big and turn the cap off and then pull out the filter. reverse for installaion. every parts house has them about 8 dollars.How do you change a 2004 Chevy Cavilier oil filter?If this is the same car as my daughters Cavilier... I did this one time and never did it again..took it to a shop with a high lift. Lift the front of the car and use jack stands...way high up.....The right front tire must be off. Then become double jointed and try and see the filter...it is on the right side on the back of the engine and not easy to even see let alone change.
